Ann Buehler

Ann Buehler — Owner, Instructor, Choreographer
Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Tap

Ann holds a BFA in Dance and a BS in Education. She has produced numerous junior and senior age regional and national champions and professional performers. With almost 20 years of professional teaching experience, she is well-known as a clinician and adjudicator for her technical expertise. She has professional experience as a ballet company member of Ballet Arkansas, musical touring companies, theme parks and was a state talent winner with the Miss America program. "Miss Ann" teaches a variety of dance techniques including Vaganova (Russian) ballet technique. Her dances have received overall choreography honors at regional and national competitions. She has also been honored by Co Dance as Teacher of the Year three years running and was 2004 National Lyrical Teacher of the Year. Dance Teacher magazine featured her studio as one of the top 50 "Studios On The Move" in the nation for 2006-2007.



Toma Tisdale

Tamara (Toma) Tisdale — Instructor
Ballet

Toma was born in the Ukraine and was chosen at the age of 9 to attend a special ballet school in Voronezh where she lived and studied under master teachers. After graduation she danced with the Odessa Theatre of Opera and Ballet and the Moscow State Concert Ballet where she was featured in ballets such as Swan Lake, Don Quixote, Sleeping Beauty, Little Red Riding Hood, and The Nutcracker. She retired from the stage in 1991 and since then has been a highly sought after choreographer and master teacher.

 

 


Lauren Roller — Instructor, Choreographer
Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Tap, Hip Hop

Lauren holds a BS in communication from Missouri State University. While at MSU, she spent 4 years on the Sugar Bears Dance Team, including captain her senior year. During her senior year, the Sugar Bears placed in the top 4 at Nationals, and a school record was set. She was asked to choreograph routines for the Sugar Bears as well as surrounding high schools during her college career. Prior to college, Lauren trained at Dance Productions in St. Louis, Missouri winning several solo and group regional and national titles. Lauren has always been invested in the training of young dancers. She assisted her dance instructor for years in St. Louis and now enjoys teaching students of all capacity at APAC. With Ann's help, Lauren has been able to begin a novice company that competes during their first year of dance at a less intense level.


Lauren Pohle — Instructor, Choreographer
Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Tap, Hip Hop

Lauren started dancing when she was 3 years old, progressing each year to more intense levels of instructions.  She is trained in ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, acro, tap, and hip hop. She received her formal training at Studio C and Charmette Academy of Dance in St. Louis, Missouri. She was a student teacher teaching all ages in jazz, tap, ballet, and acro classes while attending Charmette Academy of Dance. She began performing in competitions at age 8 and has had many successful accomplishments since her first regional and national competitions. She has received numerous high scores, scholarships, special awards, judges’ choice awards, and was named Dancer of the Year. She also attended numerous dance conventions and was awarded scholarships, cash prizes, top distinguished performer and magic performer. She was on her high school varsity dance team, The Oakville Golden Girls, and was named captain her senior year. After high school, she continued dancing by trying out and making the Sugar Bears Dance Team at MSU. In her sophomore year, she was named Nationals Captain of the Sugar Bears Dance Team. The Sugar Bears got a 1st place paid bid and ranked 3rd in the nation at nationals this year. Lauren still choreographs for the Sugar Bears and was their tryout instructor this year.  She has choreographed for several high school and middle school dance teams, and choreographed gymnastic floor routines for level 8-10 gymnasts.  She has taught camps and classes at various studios in St. Louis. Lauren is currently enrolled in the nursing program at Cox College pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing.


Nicole Wardell — Instructor
Ballroom

Nicole begin her dancing career at the young age of 6, taking lessons in tap and jazz where she discovered she was a natural at tap. Originally from the Midwest, she spent lots of weekends competing in dance competitions and beauty pageants. In her teen years she performed at Silver Dollar City and toured with Silver Dollar City National Craft Tour, and soon became interested in partner dancing. She was introduced to the West Coast Swing, a dance form that she continued to dance and compete. Her dancing career took her to Las Vegas where she taught and managed the ballroom studio, Dance Charisma. She later moved to San Diego and trained with David Alexander, an International Style ballroom dancer, at Champion Ballroom (owned in part by Mary Murphy) and Starlight Dance Studio (owned by Michael Kiehm). Nicole and her partner competed at the level of Rising Star and Open Professional, the highest level in ballroom competition dancing, at several competitions, including the Hawaii Star Ball and Emerald Star Ball. They relocated to Las Vegas where they would perform regularly at well known Las Vegas venues such as the Venetian, Paris, Falmingo Hilton, Sun Coast, Oscar Goodman's "State of the City" address and several charity events. They also instructed at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). While in Las Vegas she opened one of the largest ballroom dance studios in the U.S., Dance Elegance Ballroom, where instructors such as Mary Murphy, Louis van Amstel, Heidi Groskreutz, Wendy Johnston would practice and teach when in town. She has competed in the US Open Swing Dance Championships with partner, Donnie Carl, a WSC Champion dancer and judge. She studied under America's best ballroom coaches including Jim Desmond (Mary Murphy's Latin partner); Mary Murphy (owner of Champion Ballroom in San Diego and ballroom dancing judge on television's popular So You Think You Can Dance show); Ray Rivers (Toni Redpath's father), Jonathan Atkinsons, Tony Merideth and Glenn Weise. She has served as a judge for many events including the Nevada Senior Olympics, UNLV collegiate Ballroom and Latin, and many West Coast Wing events in the western U.S.  Her dance coaching, teaching, and competition repertoire include night club dancing (night club two-step, salsa, hustle, West Coast Swing, lifts, dips & tricks); country dancing (two-step, night club two-step, waltz, triple-two and cha cha); ballroom dancing (American Smooth: waltz, tango, foxtrot and Viennese waltz; American Rhythm: cha cha, rumba, East Coast Swign, bolero and mambo); International Ballroom (waltz, tango, slow foxtrot, Viennese waltz, and quickstep); International Latin (cha cha, samba, rumba, paso doble, and jive). In 2005 Nicole met her husband and began a family of her own, which brought her back to the Midwest. 


Meggin Kremer — Certified Personal Trainer
Boot Camp!

Meggin is a certified personal trainer with the National Strength and Conditioning Association and a Level 1 Certified Crossfit Trainer. She has been an athlete all her life. In 2008 she fell in love with Crossfit Springfield  and decided to turn her love for fitness into a career. "I love to work hard, challenge my body and test my mental and physical limits; and I share this passion with my clients. Let's face it: it isn't always easy to muster the motivation to work out on your own, and it can be overwhelming when you simply don't know what steps to take to improve your body and overall health." Whether it be personal training or a boot camp environment, Meggin will be by your side to motivate, instruct, and help you reach your fitness goals.
