Ann Buehler

Ann holds a BFA in Dance and a BS and MSE in Education. She has produced numerous junior and senior age regional and national champions and professional performers. With almost 30 years of professional teaching experience, she is well-known as a clinician and adjudicator for her technical expertise. She has professional experience as a ballet company member of Ballet Arkansas, musical touring companies, theme parks and was a state talent winner with the Miss America program. "Miss Ann" teaches a variety of dance techniques including Vaganova (Russian) ballet technique. Her dances have received overall choreography honors at regional and national competitions. She has also been honored by Co Dance as Teacher of the Year three years running and was 2004 National Lyrical Teacher of the Year. Dance Teacher magazine featured her studio as one of the top 50 "Studios On The Move" in the nation for 2006-2007.  Miss Ann is a member of the professional organization Dance Educators of America, and also is a active member of the Association of Dance Conventions and Competitions.   Miss Ann was selected in 417 Magazine's "Most Beautiful t0p 15" in 2013.  Miss Ann also has served on various charitable organization committees including the Doula Foundation.  Springfield Newsleader named Ann's Performing Arts Centre "Best of 2016". 

Miss Ann has served as an adjudicator for numerous Competition Companies including Starpower National Talent, Revolution National Talent, Spotlight National Talent, Rainbow National Talent and Talent on Parade.  Miss Ann has coached various High School Pom teams including Kickapoo High School Golden Girls.  She has sent 39 previous students, to date, to college dance programs and has previous students performing in LA, New York, Branson, the Cruise Line Industry,  and in the Professional Cheerleading fields. 

Miss Ann's passion is teaching and her philosophy is to help raise strong humans in mind, body and spirit.  Her 28 years in the teaching profession has shown that she is driven, focused and dedicated to her art.

Tori turner

Tori graduated cum laude from Missouri State with a BS in Early Childhood Education. During her four years at MSU she was a Sugar Bear and captain her senior year. Throughout college she choreographed for her team and coached at a local high school. As a Sugar Bear she networked through many facets of our community, served as an ambassador for the school, and organized team workouts and events. She grew up in Springfield and trained with APAC. Her passion is fostering student growth. Her education in the development of young children along with her many years of dance experience support her role at our studio.

Heather Ward

Heather has been the voice and face of Ann's Performing Arts Centre for the last 10 years. Heather serves as the office manager at APAC. She is able to provide our clients with immediate answers to questions, takes care of billing and organizes the staff. Heather also served as spa manager at Grove Spa for the last 4 years. Heather's charm and calm organizational skills have kept APAC running at a brisk pace all these years. Heather is also a dance mom. Heather's daughter Madison is a member of Ann's "company". Miss Heather keeps APAC organized, streamlined and running daily. For any dance questions please see Heather.

Summer Ross

Our instructor Summer grew up dancing for APAC, after her time at Ann's she moved to Kansas City where she was a Kansas City Chiefs Cheerleader for 6 years, serving as captain her last year. During her time in Kansas City she attended the University of Missouri Kansas City, where she graduated with a Bachelors degree in elementary and early childhood education. Summer also taught at a studio in Kansas City for 2 years. In addition to teaching at APAC, she is starting her second year of teaching in Nixa. Her love for children, along with her education, allow her to bring a loving dynamic to the APAC faculty.

Danielle Race

Danielle grew up dancing since age 3. Her intensive dance career started at 11 at Springfield Ballet, dancing under the instruction of Marsha and Steve Warnke. She has performed in numerous productions including The Nutcracker, Cinderella, Copellia and Romeo and Juliet. While training she was accepted into the Kansas City Ballet Summer Intensive the 3 years she auditioned but spent most of her summers in Chicago studying at Joffrey Ballet. At 17 her dance career shifted and she began to study at Credo Dance Academy with Kim Raymond and Kate Riegler. Her senior year of high school she was accepted as a trainee into Petra Ballet Company and was promoted to a full company member the following year. 

After 2 years As a company member she auditioned for Joel Hall in Chicago, IL and was accepted as a company member where where she danced for two years studying Modern, Horton and Graham, as well as traditional jazz, contemporary and refining her ballet technique. While there she also studied with Deeply Rooted and the Joffrey Ballet for additional conditioning. She auditioned and was accepted into Navdhara India Dance Company as well as Noumenon Dance Ensemble. 

Danielle is excited to switch her career from performing to teaching as it's now her passion to pass on these art forms to the next generation of dancers and see them exceed their personal goals as well as instill the respect that our craft requires.

Jordan Belcher

Jordan is a former member of Ann's company. Throughout her time dancing at Ann's she assisted Ann as part of the apprentice program. She currently attends Missouri State University where she studies Pre-Pharmacy. In addition she is also a member of the Sugar Bears dance team. Through the Sugar Bears she is involved with many events throughout the community and represents the university. In addition to teaching at APAC, she is an instructor for Universal Dance Association and is a coach of her old dance team at Republic High School.  Jordan is very excited to be a part of the Ann's family once again!

Susie Watson

Susie grew up dancing since age 3 and is trained in tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical, hip-hop, musical theatre, modern, and pointe from Mary Alice’s Dance Studio in Orchard Park, NY. She was a member of their award-winning competition team, attending numerous regional and national conventions and competitions. Susie was a class assistant from 6th grade through her senior year of high school, then taught jazz, jazz technique, and ballet, prior to moving to Missouri. Her professional experience includes several seasons as a performer in various shows at Six Flags Darien Lake theme park in NY, as well as the assistant dance captain in Le Grand Cirque with Spirit Productions. Susie is a dean’s distinguished scholar and summa cum laude graduate from Missouri State University with a BS in accounting and minor in finance. She is so excited to share her love of dance with the APAC family.

Kelsey Bellew

Graduated Magna Cum Laude from MSU last May with a BS in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Currently pursuing a MS in Speech-Language Pathology. I've worked extensively with the early childhood and special education population through Belton School District and several other camps, programs, and organizations throughout MO for children with special needs. I was a Missouri State Sugar Bear for 4 years. I held leadership positions as a senior captain, choreographer, and I helped to plan special events throughout the community for 2 of those years. I grew up dancing at Saundra Lee's Dance Studio in Raymore, Missouri and the Pulse Performing Arts Center in Kansas City, where we won several regional and national titles. During my time at The Pulse Performing Arts Center and at Saundra Lee's, I was an instructor for younger classes.
